FAQ

Customization

We are happy to accommodate specific sizes other than what appears on the website. Please reach out to Frank at info@arthausgallery.nyc to find out what is possible for your favorite image.

Please note:

Once we print above 48 x 72 inches, acrylic face-mounted framing is the only type of framing that will support a print this big. Above 48 x 96 inches we would need to break the print up into a diptych, triptych, or quad which could be framed in wood frames or face-mounted.

Editions

An edition tells the collector the total amount of duplicates for an image; it protects the long term integrity of the art piece.

The edition can be limited for a certain print size or across all print sizes of a particular image.

The artist determines carefully the specified number of prints within one edition.

Every Limited Edition Print includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) which ensures that your print is an original and should be stored somewhere safe, preferable separate from the artwork.

When purchasing a limited edition photograph, the next available edition number is automatically assigned to your print.

Pricing

All prices are subject to change. As the edition sells out and fewer pieces are available, the price for the remaining prints increases. The most current prices are listed on the website.

Framing

Framing Info

Artwork comes finished in a premium, hardwood frame moulding with your choice of a white satin, black satin or natural finish. Prints are dry mounted to acid-free foam board. Framed works come equipped with hanging hardware, clear bumpers, and a protective paperback finish.

Acrylic vs. glass

Acrylic is lightweight and more durable than glass.

Anti - Glare Acrylic

Museum acrylic is the state of the art for museums around the world and the best option for a high-quality look. It reduces the reflections significantly, is abrasion resistant, and offers up to 99% UV protection.

We highly recommend considering this option if you are placing your work in the vicinity of large light sources, facing sunlit windows, or if you are sensitive to glares in your artwork. Please also note that due to the nature of the protective UV coating you may notice a slight green cast to any remaining reflections. No need to worry; this is completely normal and will not affect your artwork.

If you have any questions about choosing your acrylic type, please e-mail us at info@arthausgallery.nyc and we will be happy to help.

UV Protection

All of our acrylic offers a 99% UV Protection.

You purchased an unframed print. Now what?

Do NOT handle your unframed print yourself. We are more than happy to ship the print directly to the framer of your choice to avoid any kind of unnecessary handling of the print before it is mounted and/or framed. Please provide the framer's shipping address at checkout if applicable.

We advise your framer to dry-mount the work on acid-free board using archival tissue and materials. This will ensure that your print will remain flat once framed. Note that it is common for prints to have waves when unrolling for the first time.

Caring for Your Unframed Print

Your print is made of archival materials that will last a lifetime but it is still very fragile and should be taken directly to a framer. Prints are not meant to be stored in a tube for extended periods of time.
